Safety information for GLP-1 medications (semaglutide and tirzepatide)

Warning: risk of thyroid C-cell tumors. In studies in rodents, semaglutide and tirzepatide caused thyroid C-cell tumors. It is not known whether they cause these tumors, including medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), in people. Do not use if you or any family member has ever had MTC, or if you have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). Tell your provider if you get a lump or swelling in your neck, trouble swallowing, hoarseness, or shortness of breath.

Do not use if you have had a serious allergic reaction to semaglutide, tirzepatide, or any of their ingredients.

Possible serious side effects include inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), gallbladder problems, low blood sugar (especially when used with insulin or a sulfonylurea), kidney problems, serious allergic reactions, vision changes in people with type 2 diabetes, increased heart rate, and depression or thoughts of suicide. Stop using the medication and contact your provider, or get emergency care, if you have severe stomach pain that does not go away, signs of a serious allergic reaction, or thoughts of harming yourself.

The most common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, stomach pain, and decreased appetite.

Tell your provider if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Tirzepatide may make birth control pills less effective.

This is not a complete list of possible side effects. Talk to your provider about the risks and benefits of treatment.

Safety information for compounded NAD+

NAD+ is available only with a prescription after a licensed provider determines it is appropriate for you. Possible side effects include headache, flushing, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, cramping, fatigue, and redness or bruising at the injection site. Use with caution if you take medications for high blood pressure, erectile dysfunction, or nitroglycerin, as the combination may lower blood pressure, or diabetes medications, as the combination may lower blood sugar. Do not use NAD+ if you are pregnant, or if you have active, suspected, or prior cancer. Tell your provider about all medical conditions and medications. If side effects continue, stop use and contact your care team. This is not a complete list of possible side effects.

Safety information for compounded sermorelin

Sermorelin is available only with a prescription after a licensed provider determines it is appropriate for you. Common side effects include irritation, itching, swelling, pain, or redness at the injection site. Less common side effects include difficulty swallowing, dizziness, flushing, headache, nausea, rash, sleepiness, taste changes, and restlessness. Sermorelin may increase appetite. Sermorelin is not recommended for people with active cancer. If side effects worsen, stop the medication and contact your provider. If you have signs of a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of the lips, tongue, or face or difficulty breathing, call 911 right away. This is not a complete list of possible side effects.

You are encouraged to report side effects to the FDA at www.fda.gov/medwatch or 1-800-FDA-1088.
